You need a check or money order for $ 55.00 if you are 16 or over: 40.00 if you are 15 or under made payable to the US department of State.

Normal processing time for a passport is 5-6 weeks. If a passport is needed sooner, it will be necessary to have it expedited at an additional cost of 60.00 per application along with 2-day overnight delivery, which you obtain at the post office at an additional charge of approximately 14.00 each way.
