In order to emphasize the seemingly endless responsibilities which rest with the County Auditors and their staff, we have prepared the following list of duties. The duties range from simple ministerial tasks such as keeping minutes of the various Board meetings for which we serve as secretary, to the highly technical duties of financial statement preparation and compliance with federal tax guidelines and programs. The office of County Auditor has evolved dramatically from a bookkeeper and part-time secretary to a financial manager whose responsibilities impact the financial well-being of county government.
